Schweizer JugendfilmtageFestival Ciné Jeunesse Suisse is Switzerland’s oldest and most important youth film festival. It was founded in 1976 and continues to be the first address for young and upcoming filmmakers in Switzerland today.

The festival has five competition categories according to age: Categories A, C, and D are for young people between 10-16, 16-19, and 19-25, respectively. In Category B, the showcases films which were produced as part of thematic workshops offered by the festival each autumn. In Category E, productions by Bachelor and Master students of the four main film schools in Switzerland compete for the trophy. All entries are judged by a jury consisting of professionals from the cinema, television and media industry,

The festival also presents various curated sections (special focus programs on a given country, festival or region, children’fs films, previews of feature length film) as well as networking possibilities and workshops.
